Before there was Kamedis, there was a journey: a journey of discovery through the natural world and 5,000 years of traditional medicine, which continued in the lab as we tested and verified these ancient teachings. Our journey is far from over. It continues to evolve, as we seek out greater knowledge to help even more people receive the benefits of our research.

Achieving equilibrium in any aspect of life helps us feel calmer, healthier, and more in tune with nature. So it’s no surprise that many common skin and scalp conditions – like dryness, dandruff, blemishes, and redness – stem from a lack of balance in the skin’s natural barrier and microbiome.

Long before microbiome became one of the most talked about topics in skincare, we were already studying the power of carefully selected botanical actives, and how they work in harmony with the skin. Today, advances in microbiome science continue to validate the philosophy that has guided Kamedis from the very beginning.

That philosophy shapes everything we do. Working with dermatologists, practitioners, and researchers around the globe, we develop targeted dermo-cosmetic solutions that help restore a healthy, balanced appearance: solutions built on powerful plant extracts and inspired by ancient botanical knowledge. Not simply because it’s traditional, but because it works.

First Steps

The Kamedis story began in 2003, when founder Roni Kramer recognized that the available skincare solutions were themselves lacking balance. As a long-time practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Roni had seen first-hand how medicinal herbs benefited dermatology patients in hospitals and at her private clinic – but she also understood their limitations.

“It became my life’s mission to harness the healing properties of medicinal herbs in a way that maximized their efficacy – while creating products that people would actually love to use. It took years of research with leading dermatologists and biologists, but we made it possible.”

The era of Kamedis had begun: development of a unique collection of skin-balancing products bringing together East and West, tradition and innovation, safety and effectiveness.

Through a network of trusted distribution partners, our products now reach homes throughout Europe, across Asian markets, and in the United States.
